Improving the NHS App

Happy New Year!

Further to our earlier post about the NHS App, at the last meeting of the PPG, a few difficulties were voiced about ordering certain medicines on the NHS App. As you know, DVMP has no control over the App, so if you do encounter any problems, please contact the website administrators directly, via:

Contact us about the NHS website (www.nhs.uk)

Please do not feel awkward about airing your views. Computer programmers tend to be young and will not have encountered every single problem that we, the Great British Public, come across in our every day lives. They need our help and experience to improve this service.

New Year News!

https://www.flickr.com/people/44119174@N06

We hope you had a very Happy Christmas. We have good news for 2024!

Firstly, and most importantly, we can report that Dr Wilson has made an excellent recovery and he is already back to work. Naturally, he will not be taking on quite as much work as before (busy GP and dual role of Practice Manager) – but is looking forward to doing what he enjoys best – looking after his patients.

During Dr Wilson’s absence Stephen Tomlinson, Practice Manager from Hoad Medical Practice in Ulverston, has been helping out on the Practice Management side.  We are fortunate that he will be continuing in this role at DVMP, taking much of that administrative burden off Dr Wilson’s shoulders.

As this co-operation between DVMP and Hoad Medical Practice has worked so well, there will be further joint endeavours to help with Resilience and Forward Planning.  With this in mind they will be jointly advertising for a new GP in January to work between the two practices.

Wishing you all a very Happy and Healthy New Year!
